When working with vast amounts of footage, I’m searching for the big picture - themes, characters, and storylines.  There are many voices throughout and it’s my job to bring an outsider perspective to the material and tell the story in a way that feels authentic and true to the characters.  I really enjoy cutting documentaries because it challenges me to think outside the box and use the unscripted freedom to shape the film.
